Are you interested in getting started composting, or learning how to take it to the next level? This is an evening of curiosity, education, and fun! There will be a very short presentation, a raffle to win your own countertop composting bin, Q+A with organization leaders, AND MORE!

Join us on Wednesday, August 16th from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM 👐🏼 Hear from organization leaders on their projects. Everything from engaging the community and creating outreach moments for learning, to building a composting facility in Inyo County!

Most importantly, come hang out, grab a beer and fries, and learn how you can support their efforts! 🌎️

Summary about ReSource Composting:

ReSource Composting is a locally-created project working to construct a composting facility in the Bishop Landfill. The facility will address the unmet need for sustainable waste solutions in the Eastern Sierra. California has passed laws requiring composting of "organic waste" - such as food scraps and yard clippings - but Inyo and Mono County are exempt because we don't have the infrastructure. In fact, our infrastructure is so limited that much of the waste generated here is shipped out of the county, out of the state, and even out of the USA. When ReSource Composting's facility is operational, we will be able to compost organic waste right here in Bishop, reducing emissions and offering compost for our neighbors' gardens.
