As you may have seen, on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟔𝐭𝐡 we will be hosting an event called 𝘾𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙚 at the 𝙼𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚊𝚒𝚗 𝚁𝚊𝚖𝚋𝚕𝚎𝚛 𝙱𝚛𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚢. While it does have connections to the current geopolitical crisis in the Middle East, it is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 a political event, but an opportunity to highlight the humanity of the people involved.⁠

A few long-time locals have come together to create this event, 𝘾𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙚. It aims to share the Palestinian experience through the lens of climbing with a talk from long-time local Palestinian-American climber, Miranda Oakley. There will be a showing of the film Resistance Climbing, sharing the experience of West Bank climbers living under occupation, and a Zoom Q&A with local climbers from the West Bank.

We know this is a sensitive issue for many, and we are taking great precautions to make this event a safe space and inclusive for all.

There will be sweet raffle prizes and a silent auction from many local artists and creatives! All proceeds will go to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in Gaza.
